IND VS SOUTH AFRICA – 2nd ODI
INTRODUCTION
The second ODIs match between India and South Africa was very exciting and full of runs . It was the second match of INDIA VS SOUTH AFRCIA series. The match was played on 3rd December 2025 at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket stadium , which is located in Raipur , India . The weather was clear and the pitch was good and perfect for the Cricket, everyone expected a high scoring game.
As we all know , India won the first match of IND VS SA ODIs Series so this match was very important for south Africa. India wanted to score a big total and put pressure on south Africa .South Africa also want to chase the runs to win the match .The coin was tossed , India won the toss and decided to bat first. In last match South Africa won the toss and choose to bowl first.
INDIA’S BATTING
India Started batting first and played confidently and scored a very big total of 358 runs for 5 wickets . India did not give a strong start, but in the middle over the game is totally change . Yashasvi Jaiswal opened in the inning and scored only 22 runs and then out in early. Rohit Sharma could not play a long inning .He only scored 14 runs and then out .After the early wickets, it seems India was in bad situation and needs stability in game. Players should play in clam and positive then king Kohli was on the ground and the game was changed.
Virat Kohli played a brilliant and composed inning if 102 runs off 93 balls. He hit his great century and it was his second centaury in IND VS SA ODIs Series. Virat kohli played responsibly took singles and give some boundaries and six. He stayed for long time and controlled the match very well, At the other end, Ruturaj Gaikwad played one of the best inning of his career . He scored 105 runs off 83 balls, showing excellent confidence and shot selection. The partnership between the Virat Kohli and the Ruturaj Gaikwad totally changed the momentum of the game and took India to a strong scores after the some wickets.
KL Rahul took responsibility in final overs. He played a strong inning of 66 runs not out , also hit his half centaury. Rahul hits his boundaries in the death overs and help India to cross the 350 mark. Other players like Ravindra Jadeja contributed 24 runs adding useful runs in the end of the match . Washington sunder only score 1 runs before getting out and some extra runs were also added in the total of the runs which was comes from the wide and no balls at last India reach a massive score.
INDIA’S BOWLING
Arshdeep Singh bowled his full 10 overs for India . He took 2 most important wickets and got his first wicket in his early overs , which give India a good start. his second wickets came in the middle of the overs but south Africa continuously scoring runs at a good pace
Prasidh krishna bowled 8.2 overs with speed and bounce . He also took 2 wickets of south Africa . one wickets was came from when south Africa built their partnership and then the match was getting slow. His second wickets come from middle over giving India some hope.
Harshit rana bowled his 10 overs and took only 1 wicket . He also took wicket in the middle of the overs he tried to bowl tight line, but the pitch help the batsman.
Kuldeep Yadav , the main spinner, bowled 10 overs and took 1 wickets
Ravindra Jadeja bowled 7 overs but unfortunately he did not took any wickets but he tried to control run rate in the middle of overs
Washington sunder bowled only 4 overs and did not get ant wickets but he tried his best
SOUTH AFRICA ‘S BATTING
South Africa came out to chase a huge target of 359 runs but they shoed a great confidence and positive intent from the beginning. Quinton de Kock opened the inning but got out in early after scoring 8 runs . Temba Bavuma played a inning of 46 runs, helping south Africa to settle the early wickets.
The star of the match was Aiden Markram , who played a magnificent inning of 110 runs. He also hit his century like Virat Kohli and ruturaj Gaikwad . He batted with great level of patience and maturity handled the pressure of very well and kept the run under control . Markram’s century is the backbone of the south Africa chase. Matthew Beetzke supported him with 68 runs of inning . They both played with partnership.
later, Dewald brevis played an attacking knock of 54 runs, took runs in the highly pressure of game. tony zorzi scored 17 runs before he was hurt .
During the match tony Zorzi suffered a right hamstring strain while batting . Corbin Bosch play very important inning by scoring 29 runs and not out .
Keshav Maharaj added 10 runs in the last overs .
south Africa reached at the target by scoring 362 runs for 6 wickets in 49.2 overs and won the match
PLAYER OF THE MATCH
The player of the match was Aiden Markram from south Africa . He played his outstanding inning in the match and scored 110 runs , also hit his century . He also help south Africa to won the match . The only player in the south Africa who scored high runs
